Out of all of the redemption arcs we go through, the best has to be Peridot's, who starts as someone simply observing Homeworld's plans on Earth as well as escorting Jasper and detested being stuck on Earth to someone who could insult Yellow Diamond right to her face, in order to stand up to her friends. Although she's mostly known for her nerdy personality, there's much more to Peridot than meets the eye. Gems are typically simply named after their gem, but they're also typically made in batches, so they're given extra numbers so that each one can properly identify themselves to their Diamonds. Of course, since this is an indicator of Peridot's status under the Diamond Authority, she ditches her full name when she becomes part of the Crystal Gems, but it's still incredibly interesting. She could give Elon Musk's newborn a run for his money with a name like that.
She made her debut in "Warp Tour". As of the Season 5 half-hour special, "Reunited", Peridot is poofed by Yellow Diamond after attempting to stand up to her former boss. Peridot has lime-green skin and pale yellow-green hair styled into a tetrahedron shape. Her true eye color is unknown at this time but can be presumed to be some shade of green or blue, due to being tinted by the yellow color of her visor. Her mouth and tongue are bluish-grey, and she has a pointed upper lip. Her gemstone is located on her forehead and is shaped like an inverted triangle with flattened corners. In all of her appearances to date, she wears a sleeveless green V-neck uniform. Her suit is mostly medium green, with a dark-green diamond outline around the cut-out of her neck area, meeting to form the Yellow Diamond insignia at her solar plexus, with a dark-green portion between her chest and leggings. Her leggings feature yellow diamond-shaped knee pads.
